I thought it would be nothing more than a ground breaking ceremony at our local science museum and a facile science quiz. But believe me, it was a lot more than my little brain could have expected. The joy of learning was absolutely double than the joy of winning.Though I did not win but yes, a lot of knowledge penetrated inside me. I was quite confident about my answers, but they were left unchallenged for there were numerous students.
Students from various places of Bhavnagar district had visited. All had come from government schools but their answers and way of answering could leave you stunned! Okay let’s leave this topic right here; Unchanged. The thing that hasn’t failed to amaze me is an extraordinary contribution of the government of Gujarat.
In this era of science and technology, this museum is not a small benefaction to these five cities of Gujarat namely, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Patan, Bhuj and Vadodara. This is a huge project viz 82.72 crores in a 20 acres land. In mere future, i.e., 2 years from today’s date the students of these cities will have a place that could compete with their knowledge in respective fields. Talking about Bhavnagar, there would be five galleries in the museum for various matters . Some of them would be automobile, aquatic life, physiomechanism, life on earth.
Coming back to the topic of inauguration, the volunteers did not fail to serve us with delicious samosas and water at time intervals. It was all set! After completion of the ceremony, they had provided us with some light snacks that were actually light. They served us in the boxes of sweets. So me, being really hungry, ran towards grabbing sweets. And guess what? The scene of wafers and biscuits inside the box left me surprised. But apart from all this. I must say this was organised beyond perfect and left behind curiosity in the minds of the students. Believe me, this museum is going to be proved as a boon to the students of Saurashtra.
